Stacked Yards 叠院

If the park such as science park or culture park is divided into units based on buildings and stacked vertically, it transforms into a single structure—a stacked yard building where each floor features its own courtyard.

We call this building a stepped building, where each upper level has a reduced footprint. The above-ground portion comprises four floors, with a large arched roof enveloping the entire structure from the first to the fourth floor, creating a substantial energy-loss space. Our primary task is to remove the vaulted roof to reduce energy consumption. This allows sunlight to reach the terraced sections on each level, transforming them into gardens. Consequently, the entire structure becomes a garden-style building.

To address parking challenges without disrupting the garden-like environment, an underground smart parking garage will be added to the garden.

如果将园区以建筑为单位切割成单元后叠落起来，园区也就变成了一栋建筑，一栋每层都有院落的叠院建筑。

我们把这个建筑称作退台建筑，即每上一层，面积减少一部分，地上部分一共四层，一个大的拱形顶将整栋建筑从一层到四层整个罩起来，形成了一个大体量的能量损耗空间。我们的第一件要务就是要拆掉拱顶，减少能耗。这样，每层的退台部分都可以见到太阳，借此，退台部分也就变成了花园，整栋建筑也就成了花园式建筑。

在空地区域增设地下智能停车场，以解决停车难题，同时不干扰整体花园式环境。
