Within Yard 院中院

This was originally an unused building in the Science and Technology Park. Its first function was as a paint store for a furniture factory and it was a simple structure. According to the development needs of the technology park, this place is to be transformed into a members' club.

The more obvious problem is the privacy required by the members' club. The north side of the building is adjacent to the office building, the south side is adjacent to the main pedestrian street, the west side is adjacent to the main road, especially after the first renovation, the four sides of floor-to-ceiling glass windows all contradict the actual needs.

After several field surveys and modeling, we changed the design idea of general building renovation without adjusting the building itself, extending the building according to the existing building form, forming a courtyard and using the courtyard wall to increase privacy while improving the overall environmental quality.

For the building itself, we use its long and narrow shape to divide the function into two areas and place them on both sides, the west side is the 'dynamic' dining area, combined with the floor-to-ceiling windows on the west side, we made a semi-open garden so that you can enjoy the sunset scenery while dining. The east side is the 'quiet' reception area, combined with the south side of the floor-to-ceiling windows, we made a closed garden courtyard, making it a unique landscape. ' Dynamic' and 'quiet' do not interfere with each other, and each has its own beautiful landscape. The entrance in the middle of the building is an indoor garden, breaking the boundary between inside and outside.

这里原本是科技园区里的一栋闲置建筑，最早的功能是家具厂的油漆库，结构简单。根据科技园的发展需要，这里要改造为会员俱乐部。

目前存在比较明显的问题是会员俱乐部要求的私密性。建筑的北侧紧邻办公楼，南侧是主要人行道路，西侧紧邻主要行车道，尤其是第一次改造后的四面落地玻璃窗都与实际需求相矛盾。

经过几次实地勘察和模型搭建，我们改变了一般建筑改造的设计思路，不对建筑本身做调整，依照现有建筑形态向外做拓展，形成院落，以院落围墙来增加私密性，同时又提升了整体的环境品质。

对于建筑本身，我们利用其狭长形态的特点将功能划分为动、静两个区域并置于两侧，西侧为“动”的就餐区，结合西面的落地窗，我们做了半开放式花园，可以就餐时欣赏夕阳美景。东侧为“静”的接待区，结合南面的落地窗，我们做了封闭式花园庭院，使其成为独有景观。一动一静互不影响，且各有美景。建筑中部的入口设置室内花园，打破室内外界限。
